I took the BMW out for a drive the other day. It was a very hot day 35 degrees+ . Everything was going ok but after about 15 minutes of driving I noticed things we getting sluggish. The MC1000 controller documentation states that power will cut back at 60 degrees and then it will do “Thermal cutback” at 80 degrees. This is far enough – but made for an interesting drive back as I had to stop a few times to let the controller cool down. I’ve built a heatsink and fan rig that I’ve mounted to the bottom of the MC1000. Haven’t tried taking it out thus far. See images.
